This template lays out a full newbuild schedule from contract signature through engineering, procurement, steel and hull construction, outfitting, painting, testing, launch and sea trials to delivery, as a live Gantt chart built entirely from Excel formulas and conditional formatting, not static images.
Start by entering your own Contract Effective Date in the header block; every date on the sheet shifts from that single cell. Then replace the sample WBS with your project's real tasks and edit each row's Start Date, Duration and Percent Complete, the bar redraws automatically (pale = planned duration, solid = completed portion), and milestone diamonds move with their Start Date.
