Free Excel workbook for keel sighting and deflection surveys during ship construction. Enter raw keel heights for up to 25 points and 10 surveys; the workbook calculates deflection relative to a reference line through two chosen points (separating uniform settlement and tilt from bending), the change between successive surveys, local checks between two points such as adjacent bulkheads, and a longitudinal profile chart. A survey record sheet documents date, time, instrument, supports, loading, temperatures, criterion and follow-up.
